What is mouse polling rate?

Polling rate is how many times per second your mouse reports its position to the PC. 125 Hz means a report every 8 ms; 1000 Hz every 1 ms; modern esports mice reach 4000–8000 Hz. Higher polling lowers input lag and makes aim feel more direct — one of the many things we tune in a DQT optimization session.

Tip: this test reads coalesced raw input events, but browsers can still batch reports on some systems — if you know your mouse is 8000 Hz and see less, close other tabs and try fast, continuous circles. USB mode (2.4 GHz vs Bluetooth) also matters: Bluetooth mice typically cap at 125–250 Hz.
